Medicare Supplemental Insurance in Georgia
Medicare Supplemental Insurance in Georgia aren’t any different from any of the other states that sell Medicare Supplement plans. The only thing that would be different is the prices. It could be either more expensive or less expensive in different states.
The price depends a few different things. It will go off of the zip code that you live in, the state that you live in, the attained age that you sign up for the plan, if you are a male or female, and if you are not in your Open Enrollment period then it will also depend on if you use any tobacco products. If you do then the price will go up a lot more than some people might think it would.
In my personal opinion, the top three Medicare Supplement plans that I recommend to all of my clients are plans F, G, and N. These plans are best for all different situations, prices, and coverage. These are all different plans but most of the plan is the same.
The plan F is the best plan that you can get. The plan F will cover you 100%. All you will have is a monthly premium. This plan is for someone who either doesn’t want to deal with a deductible, copayments, or coinsurance costs. They just want to pay a monthly premium and be done with it. Or this plan is for someone who has many health conditions and want to be fully covered when they have to go to the doctor or hospital.
The plan G is the second best Medicare Supplement plan that you can get. This plan will cover you 100% after you meet the Part B deductible of $166 per year in 2016. If you go to the doctor, get lab work done, have x-rays, or anything outpatient wise then those costs will go towards your deductible. This plan is for someone who has maybe one or two health conditions that aren’t major. Or people might choose this plan because its cheaper than the plan F sometimes, and don’t mind having a small deductible.
The plan N is for someone who has a minor health condition to no health conditions at all. This plan is the cheapest of the three plans monthly wise. But with this plan you will have more out of pocket expenses when you go to the doctor or ER. With this plan you will still have the Part B deductible of $166 per year. Also with this plan, if you go to the doctor you will have a copayment up to $20, and if you go to the ER and don’t get admitted into the hospital then you will have up to a $50 copayment.
